Easier access

CableRail® facilitates the installation elements including cable troughs, cables and HDPD tubes:

• In zones with limited road access
• In zones that are steeply sloped or otherwise difficult to access for cable ploughs or other machines moving beside the track
• With installation technology and equipment for difficult settings

Safety and security

The safety and security associated with CableRail® is based in part on :

• A high degree of safety for the operators present and for the railway’s infrastructure and operations
• The transport of cable troughs, cables and HDPE tubes on the installation train, which avoids the risks of theft and vandalism when such elements are deployed on the ground in advance
• Installation techniques that later protect the cables and fibre optics against wrongdoers

SITS is the only company approved to operate CableRail® on the French national railway network. The CableRail® systems are now being marketed outside France as well.

Broad adaptability

CableRail® is adaptable :

• To customer requirements such as the length of work zones
• To the technical constraints of the customer’s railway network, including track gauge and loading gauge
• To the installation environment of a specific line section
• To the trackside terrain, no matter how narrow and constrained

In France, CableRail® can operate on any standard track. Running on the rails, it can easily traverse bridges and tunnels and install cables :

• on ballasted bridges and
• between the track and catenary masts.

The CableRail® systems are adaptable to the different technical and regulatory constraints of railway environments in Europe and throughout the world.

Thanks to its modern and reactive engineering group, SITS is able today to study any project to adapt or further develop CableRail®.
