CableRail Sub®
Burial of cables and/or HDPE tubes along railway tracks
CableRail Sub® : Burial of networks
SITS designed and continues to develop the system CableRail Sub®, which buries cables or HDPE tubes for fibre optics up to 80 centimetres deep along railway tracks.
Burying networks provides optimal protection for cables that are vital to telecommunications or railway signalling.
CableRail Sub® unrolls and buries simultaneously up to six copper cables or HDPE tubes of up to 8 cm in diameter each at a speed of 420 metres/hour.
In a single passage, CableRail Sub® thus performs a complete burial of such cables and HDPE tubes that makes them invisible and very difficult for wrongdoers to access.

CableRail Sub® : A machine that buries cables and/or HDPE tubes for fibre optics
The CableRail Sub® burial machine simultaneously performs two operations :
- The conveyance of copper cables through the burial box and
- The burial of these cables or tubes in the earth.
CableRail Sub® can bury cables in ballast or soil. Behind the plough’s passage, no further work on ballast is necessary and a slight fill-in and compaction of the soil suffices.

Our network burial campaigns
Since 2011, the system CableRail Sub® has buried cables or HDPE tubes along some 1100 kilometres of the French national railway network, as follows :
300 km on high-speed lines (LGV)
(including the Rhine-Rhône (Mulhouse-Dijon) LGV, the line from Perpignan to the French border and the LGV Est Européen extension to Strasbourg)
800 km on conventional lines
